The first step to prepare for Wake on WAN is to enable it through the Administrator console.
- Open SURVEYOR Administrator.
- Right-click the SURVEYOR node, and choose SURVEYOR Server Settings.
- On the Wake on WAN tab, for Wake on WAN Mode select Enabled.
SURVEYOR server will place computers into subnets based on their IP network numbers. It assumes that clients with the same IP network number can broadcast Wake on LAN packets to each other. This is typically true in corporate networks.
- Click OK.
- Click Refresh on the Administrator console toolbar. The new Wake on WAN node appears at the bottom of the tree structure.
