This article describes how to troubleshoot the error "Unable to log on" in the AdminLauncher when a remote SURVEYOR administrator attempts to open the Administrator Console using the Run As command.
Issue
Remote, non-domain SURVEYOR administrators are unable to open the Administrator Console using the Run As command.
Symptoms
Remote SURVEYOR administrators who are not part of the domain when trying to run the SURVEYOR Administrator console using the Run As option receive the following error:
Solution
Remote, non-domain SURVEYOR administrators will need a local account on the SURVEYOR server and membership in the SURVEYOR Remote DCOM Users local group.
From the command prompt, run the following command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\runas.exe /netonly /user:machinename\user "C:\Program Files\Verdiem\Surveyor Administrator \Bin\AdminLauncher.exe"
After you enter the correct password, the Administrator console will open.
