The National Institutes of Health (NIH)* is using Verdiem's Surveyor software to reduce PC energy consumption. To date, NIH has installed Surveyor on several thousand PCs within the Office of Research Services (ORS) and Office of Research Facilities (ORF), with additional groups projected to follow. By deploying Surveyor, the agency is saving an average of 953,678 kWh of electricity - about $71,000 per year.
