Lee College, located in Baytown, Texas, is one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation and ranked 6th in the nation for degrees awarded in Science and Technologies. Lee College has deployed Surveyor on both its PC and Mac clients with outstanding results. Actual energy savings resulted in a 39.6 percent energy reduction and an annual saving of $24,172. Lee College has eliminated more than 320,725 pound of carbon dioxide each year with minimal effort.
“In accordance with our participation with the American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment and the first higher education institution signed under the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), we continue to strive toward reducing carbon emissions and carbon neutrality. PC power management is an easy to implement solution that positively impacts our energy savings goals. We are excited that our average energy savings rate is 210 KWh per PC with an annual savings of $24,172, and that green IT can be done with no impact to campus operations. We are also excited to now expand these savings to our Macs with the new capabilities in Surveyor.”
